Anti-Haze

As of now, although the haze is beginning to subside, please continue to take care of yourself– increase your water in-take. Include some anti-oxidant food in your meals. Such include berries, apples and beans. Not forgetting white and black funguses which help in clearing the lungs.

Also, do not neglect your skin. Double cleanse if possible (not recommended for dry-skin type), scrub (both face and body!) to remove the 2.5mm particles and followed by an anti-oxidant mask (eg. berries/Vitamin C).

Take care and Be well.

Body Whitening: Body Scrub – Lulur Mandi

Lulur Mandi – The BEST whitening scrub I have used!

This is a scrub usually used by Malays a week (everyday!) before their big day so that their skins will be at their perfect condition on the very day.

I used to swim twice a week when I was younger without using any sunblock T.T This is because my mum is not a person who cares alot about her skin and does not know the importance of sunblock (sorry mum! but its the fact. haha >.<) This has resulted in freckles on my cheeks and arms. I was quite tanned as well. It was only after high school when I suddenly came across a forum thread on body whitening one day at work (I do not know the reason why I was surfing that forum and until today, I am still wondering why did I clicked on the body whitening link. Sometimes, things just happened like that. hah!) From then on, my aim is to be as white as snow >.<

So, starting from body care..

Exfioliation is a must to get rid of dead cells so that what ever we apply on our skin can be absorbed in easier and will be more effective. I use it weekly on dry skin (as recommended by my malay friend), then rinse and followed by my body wash (Everyday Goat’s Milk). The perfect body whitening combination.

These types of scrub are also often use by Spas.

The scrub is very creamy and full of scrub beads:

The little dots are the beads.

After rinsing off, skin will feel very polished and smooth :)

Best of all…the price! : $2.50 for 250g!

The price ranges from $2.50 (cheapest that I can find) – $4. Even it its at $4, it’s also considered very cheap as compared to drugstore brands / bodyshop / etc.

Type of Lulur Mandi Scrubs I have tried so far:

– Sumber Ayu (not as rough as Purbasari, lesser scrub beads)

– Purbasari (more scrub beads, not recommended for sensitive skins if trying Lulur Mandi for the first time)

Flavours: there are many different flavours and types available, all of them have the flora smell.

Personal preference: Greentea, Honey, Pearl

I was on a  look out for a new handcream as the Crabtree & Evelyn one wasn’t up to my expectation >:(

It absorbs fast, smells great, but the moisturizing factor doesn’t last long -personal opinion!

I have got sweaty palms and thus, when my hands are not sweaty, it will be super dry (like an old lady’s, with all the wrinklies)

Chanced upon Soap&Glory while watching missglamorazzi ‘s ’11 most reached for items’! So as usual, I googled for more info about it :D

Soap & Glory is from the UK and they have lots of products.. from bodycare to skincare to makeups. All their products smell awesome! Girly, sweet and and a little fruity (avoid if you aint a fan of sweet scents). Their packagings are very interesting and attractive!

The brand is available on asos.com and there’s free international shipping. So I decided to visit Sephora to check out the pricing and try on the products. The prices in SG are surprisingly affordable, just a dollar or 2 more as compared to the website.

And so, I bought their…HANDFOOD

got the one in 125 mL (S$11) instead of the one in 50 mL (S$7). the 50 mL one will be more purse friendly..but was sold when the BA mentioned that the bigger tube goes out of stock really fast >.<

okay, its priced at £4.65 (~S$9.50) on asos.com. a difference of S$1.50 to save on the waiting time. heh!

really easy to spread, absorbs well and gives a satin-feel finishing. hope its lasting and can improve the wrinklies on my hands!

the next thing i bought….

A pretty pink box! :D like some girly toys’ box..

tadahhh~

i bought this set as

1) i am sold to the smell of their products!! (can’t stop smelly my hands after walk out of Sephora)

2) i am done with my current body scrub and hair mask ;)

3) its a good set to try out S&G products!

there’s always a list of ‘reasons’ when one wanna get something~

hair supply -a hair mask/treatment

unlike commercial hair conditioners/treatments which I had used previously, this hair treatment leaves a shea butter finishing giving a moisturized feel

not too bad but SG’s Sephora does not carry their hair products :(

Bodybutter – Righteous Butter (left) & Bodyscrub – Flakeaway (right)

First, the bodyscrub, similar to the hair treatment, it leaves a moisturized feeling after rinsing off the scrub. Its a salt scrub and I would consider the scrub salts as ‘medium rough’. It does the job well but one thing is…the storage -the tub :( I don’t like to dip my fingers in the tub to get the scrub out.

Next, the bodybutter. I personally feel that the body butter is too thick for SG’s humid climate and this butter is really thick. Good for dry skin! Its not greasy and absorbs easily!

Body Moisturising Mist -Girligo

Look how watery it is! and this is moisturising enough for me, absorbs quickly as well and the smell just stays on the entire day ^.^

Lastly, the shower gel -Clean On Me

Very moisturising and smells great! Will grab the huge bottle (500 mL, S$16)  when I am done with this (and my other shower gels :x)

Soap & Glory is considered as an affordable brand and I am so glad that Sephora carries it :D Soon my bathroom will be of vintagey and pinkie feel~ XD
