Anti-Haze

As of now, although the haze is beginning to subside, please continue to take care of yourself– increase your water in-take. Include some anti-oxidant food in your meals. Such include berries, apples and beans. Not forgetting white and black funguses which help in clearing the lungs.

Also, do not neglect your skin. Double cleanse if possible (not recommended for dry-skin type), scrub (both face and body!) to remove the 2.5mm particles and followed by an anti-oxidant mask (eg. berries/Vitamin C).

Take care and Be well.

Directions to ODBO outlet (Seoul)

I went on a free & easy trip to S.Korea in Jul/Aug and I knew I need to visit ODBO.There is only ONE shop selling ODBO products and the location of the shop is quite out of the way. Many people got to know of this product through their tour guides (as it is included in most of the S.Korea tour package).

And so, by word of mouth, the brand ODBO got spread from one to another…among non-Koreans. Why did I come to such conclusion? During my research for the location of the shop, I came upon quite a number of blogs stating that their Korean friends do not know about the brand. Hmmm…weird.

Anyway, I have been wanting to pen this down (erm…since Aug? haha) so as to help others who are going on f&e and would like to get ODBO products.Even at this point of time, when I do a google search on ‘where can I buy ODBO products in Korea’/ ‘ODBO duty free shop korea’, the same blog surfaced as top of the search: http://seoulinspiration.wordpress.com/2011/11/16/odbo-outlet-in-seoul/

and this was found on that blog:

Okay, I saw that there were some other photos added. I must thank this blog as well because I did find the ODBO outlet based on this map. :)

Here’s my contribution:

After exiting Mapo-gu Office Station, Exit 3, walk straight along the fence. It will take around 15-20 min to the end of the fenced walkway.

766208

You will see this gas station on the way, on your right. Continue to proceed forward.

773184

And you will soon see the Outback Steak Restaurant.  Turn right after the restaurant.

785472

Continue walking. By now, around 20 min has passed…. and around 3-5 min later, you will see another gas station (S-OIL). Along the way, across the street on the left, there is a Toly Moly duty free shop as well.

792448

Continue heading forward. You will reach the outlet on less than 10 min! :)

798848

As this is a Duty Free Shop, tax will be excluded on the total amount that you are paying. Other than ODBO products, there are also Face Shop products found here. The range of products are slightly different from those at the other outlets around the shopping area (ie, Hongdae, Myeongdong, Itewon etc..). As my friend had managed to get an item available in SG at this store but not at the other outlets. I supposed the ‘movement’ of the stocks are slower here as the place is mostly visited by tour groups who have already went to FaceShop, Skinfood, Missha, EtudeHouse..etc before they visit this ODBO -my POV.

Be sure to check out the bundle promotions when you are there!

So, after checking off another ‘must-visit’ on my list, we took a bus back to Hongdae station. It will kill us to walk another ~20min back to the Mapo-gu Office :x

Studied the bus routes and found out that these 2 buses can bring us to Hongdae station. Although most of the Koreans cant really speak English, their public buses will announce the station when approching. So, Keep Calm and just Hop On.

ODBO Outlet Opening/Business Hours:

Daily from 11am – 6pm

Enjoy your ODBO outlet adventure! :)

wanted to do spree from the Naruko webbie (Taiwan) but was being led to this : http://www.naruko.sg/shop/

so much more convenient! but the per item price will be slightly higher as compared to .tw. time vs. $$

i have got like 100 more skincare products more to eat up (okay lah, around 20 odd new products to go~) else i would have placed the order for:

1) the famous NIGHT GELLY (Jelly)

2 for $39.50!! sucha good deal~~~ (its around $18 including shipping if one is to order from .tw)

2) the BB CREAM!!!

i dont know why, but i am returning back to using bbcream >.< the main reason will be the all-in-one function which will cut down on the time spent for my morning routine

3) the PORE MINIMISING SERUM

OMG~ i need this for my super duper enormously huge pores which are YET to be made invisible by the Clarisonic.

(haha, YET.. i am hoping that Clarisonic can do the job! as mentioned by my idol -fuzkittie)

4) the ENTIRE Whitening Series

http://www.naruko.sg/shop/index.php?route=product/category&path=20_38

hahha, i am all for whitening!

5) and lastly, the Hand Cream Set

just because i am looking for a good hand cream now. Crabtree is not really up to what i wanted it to be :(

Naruko.com.sg is offering quite a good service -free next day delivery islandwide (except for some ulu places). but orders have to be $69 up. orders below $69 will have to top up another $5 for courier :)

*anyone interested in the Pore Minimising Serum? ;) 2 for $79.90 (1 for $44.90)

Clarisonic Mia, every lady’s bestfriend!

one month ago…. i received this as a birthday present!! :D

a PINK Clarisonic Mia! Mia comes with only 1 speed. This speed is just right, not too fast nor slow. We can double up by increasing circulation with our hand. But of cause, you dont want it go to too fast so that you reach each and every part of the face.

it comes in a box, very well packed.

comparing the size of the device to a Majolica Majorca Mascara

the charging plug. okay, one negative point about this is that the plug is meant for states usage and so we need to get a convertor for it. but its easily available

the above is the head of the plug and below is the magnetic charging connection to the device. its very user friendly, just have to ‘click’ it onto the device and its connected. but another bad thing about having a magnetic charging connection is that it comes loose easily, ie, if one is to knock it over, the device will fall off.

tadahh, MIA~ comes with a brush cap

the brush head.. it actually works by vibrating and not circulating, ie, the bristles vibrate left, right and up down. the brush head which comes with the device is for sensitive skin. however, i feel that it still feel quite ‘stiff’ and can go even softer as a sensitive brush head.

the back of the device. this device is ready sturdy. even the connection between the detachable brush head and the body is very tight. the quality of the entire device is really good.

the complimentary cleanser that comes with it. i read a lot of reviews that it breaks one out. and so, i better not risk >.<

here’s the descriptions

the brochure which came along in the box.

when you start the vibration mode, it will only last for a min.

what i did was i squeeze my cleanser on the brushhead and on device for it to lather via the vibration. this usually takes a few seconds, probably 10s? and then i’ll start manoeuvring it on my face. so after a minute when the device stops vibrating, i will on it again for another 20-30s and concentrate on more problematic areas (ie, nose, chin)

immediately after the 1st use, I can feel the difference to my skin. its softer and smoother. and skincare products absorbs more readily.

after a week of usage, once everyday -to allow skin to get use to the new device, skin still feel soft and smooth but i did not notice any difference for my blackheads. i did not experience any purging.

do not expect any miracles, we need to be hardworking when comes to skincare!

so i will continue to use and observe :)

other than the plug, another downside to this device is the charging hours! zomg, first charge up is 24H and subsequence re-charging is 18H!

other than that, i HIGHLY recommend the Clarisonic MIA to all ladies out there, especially those with blackheads problem, pores problems and those who wears makeup everyday!

REVIEW: Etude House Black Charcoal Chin Pack
March 26, 2011, 8:45 pm

I have got little whiteheads on my chin area and chanced upon this while buying nail polishes frm Etude House. The Black Charcoal Chin Pack costs S$1.90 and I thought why not give it a try!

This reminds me of Daiso Charcoal Mask (which I had used one before and gave away as its drying and doesn’t really benefit my skin)

The descriptions at the back of the packaging.

The only ingredient stated is the 0.1% Charcoal Powder, hur. the one ingredient stated wasnt very helpful uh..

The direction of use is similar to Biore Pore Strips which I had used around a decade ago. Stripping off the ‘heads’ is not the best way to handle the problem. Stripping them off with force will only lead to enlarged pores. Something which I truly regret until today :(

One pack contains only 1 strip which looks like this.

THE RESULT!!

Only a little whiteheads spotted on the strip after using. There are still quite a number of bumps which are not ‘captured’.

Due to the charcoal content, it does not feel as harmful as the Biore Strips which are made of cloth type material which holds onto the skin rather tightly.

When stripping it off, it does not feel as if I am ripping my skin off. BUT, I will not repurchase as its not as effective as I thought it would be. :(

The St Clare MP3 set is still at the top of my Blackhead Physical Solution List

Its RESULT!! :O

Look at all the dots! >.<

St Clare MP3 Set is very popular among the ladies in Taiwan! The solution to all black and white heads! This set is not cheap, its around S$40 but it can last for around half a year. Recommended to use twice a week, and so, lets do the math. – S$40 for at least 48 times~ less than S$1 each time!

There are three steps to using this set.

First Step- ‘Heads’ softener; massage it on for a minute and then rinse it off.

Second Step-Mask; apply the white glue-y liquid on wet nose/affected areas and wait for it to dry up completely. Then peel off.

Third Step-‘Pore Tightener’; a serum for after masking to close up and treat the pores is also provided!

I hope that SASA or Watsons will bring this product in soon so that all the ladies out there with ‘heads’ problem can experience the greatness of St Clare MP3! :)
